AI enablement report
The AI enablement report answers leadership's questions about AI coding tools: who uses them and how much, what they cost and save, and which teams lag behind. Every number is compared with the period before. It is built from the telemetry your server already holds, and never reads prompt text.
The AI enablement report is on the Premium and Enterprise plans, and in the 30-day trial.
Where to find it
On the server's dashboard, open Insights → AI enablement. Pick a period (7, 30 or 90 days, this or last calendar month, or a custom number of days), and filter by team or tag. The report is on the hub only; a satellite points you there.
What it shows
- Adoption: active people and computers, the share of the people SpanDock knows about, daily and weekly active users, new and returning users, by team, tag and tool. It also shows tools that are installed or running but unused.
- Depth: sessions, active days, prompts and tool calls per person, the mix of models, the MCP servers and tools used, and Project memory use.
- Value: spend per session and per active person, the prompt cache hit rate, Token Saver savings, how people stay within their budgets, and work items per person.
- Trends: weekly growth and cumulative users, weekly retention, how many days a week people use AI tools, and lagging teams: teams under 80% of the adoption in scope, or 10 points below their previous period.
Every chart has a table view and a CSV export. Print summary prints the report, or saves it as a PDF, for sharing.
Where the data comes from
- AI tools' telemetry: sessions, models, prompts and tool calls are counted from the records' names. No text is read.
- The model proxy's budgets, for budget adherence.
- Token Saver's savings.
- The AI tools each computer has installed or configured, and, with process inventory on, the tools it saw running.
- Work insights' work items, as counts only, and only from computers whose prompt sharing is on.
Who sees names
The report is aggregate by default. Names, the person and computer filters and the per-person table are only for administrators, and for editors when People doesn't hide identities. Viewers see teams, tags, tools and counts.
Limits
- A scheduled monthly email of the report isn't available. Use Last month with Print summary or the CSV export instead.
