- Does every install need a license?
- Yes. The Free license costs nothing and is created when you sign up. Paste its key into your server (or standalone install) under Settings → License.
- What is an active client?
- A client computer that reported to your server that day. Your hub sends the day's counts with its daily license check; telemetry, prompts and code are never sent.
- How is Usage billed?
- Each day we record the day's highest number of active clients, and of servers plus satellites. A client costs $4 and a server or satellite $19 for a full month, charged per day used (a 30-day month).
- Can I switch plans?
- Yes, at any time from Dashboard → Billing. Upgrades and downgrades are prorated automatically. Moving to Free takes effect at the end of the paid period.
- What happens if a payment fails?
- Your license shows as past due and keeps working during the grace period while the payment is retried. Update your payment method from the billing portal.
- Do you offer offline licenses?
- Yes, on Enterprise: long-lived licenses for air-gapped installs. Contact us.
