Secret and personal data redaction tester

Paste a prompt, a log or a config file and see what SpanDock’s guardrail detectors find in it: secrets, email addresses, phone numbers, card numbers, IBANs and national IDs, plus your own words and pattern. Each match is highlighted in place, and you can copy a redacted version.

Runs in your browser. Nothing you type or paste leaves this page.

Up to 100,000 characters. Use made-up data if you can.

What the detectors catch

Paste or type some text to check it.
Detectors

The same rules as a guardrail: up to 500 characters, no lookarounds or backreferences, and it can’t match empty text.

What it covers

The detectors are the ones SpanDock runs, translated for your browser and tested against the same cases. Card numbers must pass the Luhn check, so order numbers aren’t taken for cards; IBANs must have valid check digits; US Social Security numbers in ranges that are never issued are skipped. Secrets cover common API key and token shapes, private keys, passwords in URLs and values assigned to names such as password, token or api_key.

Detectors look for shapes, so they can miss a secret with an unusual format and can flag text that only looks like one. Treat the result as a check, not a guarantee.

In SpanDock, guardrails on computers check prompts and tool calls on each person’s computer, so the text isn’t sent anywhere to be checked; they are on the Enterprise plan and in the 30-day trial. Redaction of prompts and tool contents at the source is in every plan. See Guardrails on computers.
